THE TWO ACCOMMODATIONS OF THE CANTABRIAN MOUNTAIN RANGE TOUR:

In our Cantabrian Mountain Range Tour, we utilize two 4-star hotels located in Villafranca del Bierzo and León or Cervera de Pisuerga. For this journey, we partner with two National Paradores. Paradores are unique hotels situated in prominent historical and cultural locations. These hotels provide a distinctive experience by blending high-quality accommodation with the rich cultural and gastronomic heritage of each region. They are managed by the Spanish government.

HOTEL 1 IN VILLAFRANCA DEL BIERZO:

Our operations center to offer fly fishing holidays in León is located in Villafranca del Bierzo. This is the famous Parador Nacional de Villafranca del Bierzo.

Villafranca del Bierzo is a small town that will make you fall in love at first sight when you walk through its cobbled streets. It is one of those places to visit if you travel to Spain. During your visit, you will be surprised by its historic buildings that take you back to medieval times. Among the places worth visiting during your stay in Villafranca del Bierzo are the church of Santiago Apóstol, the Castle of the Marquises of Villafranca, Calle del Agua, the Collegiate Church of Santa María or the Church of San Nicolás El Real.

Additionally, very close to our operations center, you can enjoy the incredible landscapes of Las Médulas, the Castle of the Templars, or towns such as Peñalba de Santiago or Molinaseca.

The hotel has modern rooms, elegantly decorated with parquet floors, and includes flat-screen satellite TV, a minibar, and a private bathroom with a hairdryer.

In addition, it has a restaurant that serves traditional Spanish cuisine and specializes in local sausages, cheeses, sweets, rice with botillo, and other traditional dishes of Bierzo.

HOTEL 2 IN LEÓN OR CERVERA DE PISUERGA

In the Cantabrian Mountain Range Tour, we consistently utilize the Parador in Villafranca del Bierzo and pair it with either the Parador in León or Cervera de Pisuerga. The selection of the second National Parador is based on the season, with the sole aim of providing the best possible fishing experience.

The National Parador in León occupies a former 16th-century monastery with views of the cathedral, seamlessly blending modern comforts with history. On the other hand, the Parador in Cervera de Pisuerga, situated by the Ruesga reservoir, offers a peaceful retreat in the Palentina mountain, perfect for immersing oneself in nature and experiencing Spanish hospitality.
